Kate Gyamfua is the name of the moment. Kate has become one of the galamsey-related names in the country at the moment. Kate Gyamfua after having her excavators burnt in the anti-galamsey operation in the country has decided to take legal actions against these acts. And her reason is because she was operating under legal means.
Kate Gyamfua who happens to be the general manger of xtra-gold resource Corp had a number of her company’s excavators going down the drain. She has not been the only victim of such destruction exercise but is one of the few who have decided to take legal actions. She claims the anti-galamsey force which is taking this operation on targeted her business.
And she believes there are names and faces behind these acts because all her operations are legal and documented. Speaking some hours ago, madam Kate alleged that these names which she has decided not to mention have been rumored to be persons behind this act even though she has paid her dues in this business and is clean of all illegal mining activities.
Her party, the Npp are the current party ruling in government. And this is what has raised questions like is she taking her legal actions against Npp officials? Because the influence in the destruction of these excavators is by the authorities and making this statement when others have had their machines destroyed sounds unexpected.
We are yet to hear from her and her actions which she claims will be taken legally to battle this intentional act against her and her business.
