$170M JD Saga: Lawyer Edudzi Tameklo Exposes Godfred Dame

Lawyer Godwin Edudzi Tameklo who is part of communication team for the National Democratic Congress has exposed attorney general Godfred Dame on the $170 judgement debt saga.

The NDC lawyer speaking on Metro TV good morning Ghana show today, Tuesday, 29th June, 2021 stated that the attorney general Godfred Dame is covering the judgement debt brouhaha before Ghanaians and exposes that Godfred Dame, Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr Bawumia and those who sat down to terminate the GPGC contract are to be blame after reading the ruling of the UK court on the issue on the show.

He stated that according to the ruling from court, Godfred Dame was not well informed about the deal before advising the committee to go ahead and terminate the contract, and explained that they couldn't provide concrete evidence to the UK court as the reasons why they terminated the contract and said that is why they suffered in court.

Lawyer Edudzi Tameklo again stated that the GPGC Contract was signed before Nana Akufo-Addo formed the energy Commission board and all the allegations they put up as evidence to court did not hold, and read portion of the court ruling which states that attorney general edited portion of GPGC Contract and put them together as evidence against GPGC which cannot be hold.

He said the court ruling evidently exposed that Government admit in court their evidence against GPGC is not enough but now they're trying to play blame game to cover it.

Lawyer Edudzi Tameklo dare Godfred Dame on the show that he should stay aside and appoint a retired judge to investigate the matter if he know he is not involved in the matter as claimed by him.

" Randy they edited portion of the GPGC Contract agreement signed by the past Government and admitted in court that they don't have enough evidence against GPGC company. You know, it reflects in the ruling that Godfred Dame did not have much knowledge about the deal before giving his advice to the committee. Randy the GPGC deal was signed before Nana Akufo-Addo instituted the board of energy Commission. So if they said they don't have licence to operate and other things they are accusing NDC off it's a lie.

Everything thing shows that Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, Godfred Dame and people who sat down to terminate the contract are responsible for the judgement debt and not NDC. I am also a lawyer and i will tell Godfred Dame that if he know that he knew nothing about this judgement debt, he should stay aside and appoint a retired judge to investigate everything including himself and let the truth be known to Ghanaians. Running to police CID is useless in this case" he said on the show.
