Gender Based Violence Control Center Established In Ghana

Gender Based Violence is one of the most prevalent Human Rights Violations in the World. It undermines the health, dignity and security of its victims and yet remains in a culture of silence.

These include but not limited to rape, harassment forced abortions and female genital mutilation. However, there is no more no need to remain in silence as a center to assist with gender based violence and related issues has been established in Ghana. The center is by name Orange Support Center. It provides assistance and various forms of support for persons living with trauma and emotional difficulties that arise from gender based violence.

There is no single factor that can explain gender-based violence in our societies, but rather a myriad of factors contribute to it, and the interplay of these factors lies at the root of the problem.

However the propellant causes have been categorized into four segments being Cultural, Legal, Economic and Political.
