As a human rights lawyer, I've been asked to be a gay rights advocate on several occasions - Francis

Francis Xavier Sosu, a member of parliament for Medina and the president of Youth for Human Rights Africa, has claimed that he has got multiple invitations to be a homosexual rights advocate from pro LGBTQ communities.

Francis Xavier Sosu denied charges that he supports LGBTQ actions in the country in his piece "The Anti-LGBTQ Bill; When the dust settles, rationality shall win over emotions," and emphasized his strong support for the new bill to be approved.

Many people have approached him with lucrative offers to be a strong LGBTQ advocate since he became a human rights lawyer, he said, but he has turned them all down because it goes against his Christian teaching and culture, as well as the collective aspiration of the people he represents as a member of parliament.

Meanwhile, a group of eight legislators has developed a bill to criminalize LGBTQI+ activities, promotion, and advocacy in Ghana.
