Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD) has finally reacted to the arrest and prosecution of the 21 LGBT rights activists in Ho. They've asked the Attorney General of the Regional Police command to stop the needless harassment and violation of the constitutional rights of the 21 LGBT community members.
CDD-Ghana also asked The Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to take proactive steps to ensure that every citizen of the country enjoy the human rights guaranteed equally to all persons under the Constitution.
Here is a screenshot of the press statement released by CDD-Ghana few minutes ago:
The 21 LGBT community members bail application was denied two days ago ( June 8th 2021) by his Honour Felix Datsamar on grounds that the Volta regional Police requires more time to investigate the issue, they'll have to reappear in the Ho Circuit Court on the 16th of June, 2021.
