Kweku Bosam has condemned a pastor for a statement he made on the issue of Gay, Bisexuals, Transgender, and Queer intersex. Speaking on Onua TV Maakye Show hosted by Captain Smart, Kweku Bosam descended on Evangelist Freeman of the Methodist Church for saying though he will caution his children against homosexuality, he will not force it down their throats.
According to Evangelist Freeman, though his belief frowns on the activities of LGBTQ and must be condemned, crusaders of the LGBTQ bill should apply the same energy in fighting against fornication, corruption, and armed robbery. Evangelist Freeman said he can only advise his children but can't force them if they decide to be homosexuals. But Kweku Bosam said "I am shocked that a statement like this is coming from a man of God like you. It was this same homosexuality that made God condemn Sodom and Gomorrah, and you are here endorsing it?"
Kweku Bosam continued that, it was wrong and surprising for a preacher of the Gospel to make such a statement. According to him, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah due to their involvement in homosexuality, and Ghana should not condone it. He further stressed that the word of God says if your children go astray the norms and values of society, you do not throw in the towel as a Christian but take discipline them to put them on track.
He added that the man of God is gay. He dares the man to prove him wrong he is not gay. " You are gay, I dare you to prove to us that you are not one", he said.
Pending Parliamentary debate for approval or otherwise of the LGBTQ bill, the discussion of the issue has been on the plate for something now. CDD report says the majority of Ghanaians do not want anything to do with LGBTQ, this makes discussion of the issue a very thorny one. So anyone that seeks to protect the rights of the minority who are practices LGBTQ is labeled as LGBTQI.
