A member of the National Small Scale Miners Association, Moses Baba Kyerenaa and also the Chairman for the Coalition for Small Scale Miners has called on President Akufo Addo to come to him and on grounds for enlightenment in attempt to halt galamsey activities in the country.

Moses Baba indicated that, the fight against galamsey will not be a success at the Jubilee House until the President makes step of coming down to the fields where he will see the real situation and to know the next actions to take. He further noted that, some of the President’s officials have conived with some Chinese and Burkinabe’s to engage in illegal mining ‘galamsey’.
He therefore advised his colleague miners to adopt proper ways and methods of mining in order to conserve land and other resources of the country. Mr Baba also urged President Akufo Addo to call to order his officials and party members involved in galamsey activities.
