This article seeks to analyze how Ghanaians have hailed Togbe Afede for his longstanding achievements and for recently making a powerful presentation in Switzerland to make a case for Ghana and for a Volta /Oti Project.

We will begin by looking at a brief history of Togbe Afede. Togbe Afede XIV was born as James Akpo in Ho on 23 April 1957 to Corporal Patrick Akpo and Madam Rose Anyawoe. He began his education at Ho Bankoe Roman Catholic Boys School in 1961 and then entered Kpedze Secondary School in 1969, successfully completing his GCE “O” Level in 1974. He then proceeded to Labone Secondary School in Accra where he excelled in the GCE “A” Level examination in 1976. Togbe Afede XIV is a product of the University of Ghana where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration qualification in Accounting in 1979. He also holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management in 1989. He is the President of the Asogli Traditional Area, the Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, and the former President of the National House. Yesterday, Togbe recently posted a picture on his Facebook page and social media is currently blazing due to this picture.

It could be interpreted that Togbe traveled to Davos in Switzerland to make a case for Ghana and for a Volta /Oti project. His caption showed that he did the said presentation on May 23, 2022.

Many Ghanaians are so excited to see this inspiring picture and have resorted to expressing their thunderous satisfaction by putting some words down for the great leader.

One Emmanuel Osabutey wrote that Togbe Afede has constantly exhibited a high-quality leadership and Ghana would be even better if most traditional leaders learn from him. Another message to Togbe from Roseline Araba was to show that she always thanks God for the achievements of the great man and assured him that his efforts will be fruitful. One social media commentator also explained how he is against the introduction of western companies on the soil of Ghana due to the exploitative nature of such contracts even then though other commentators did not agree with him. The climax of the comments was when Jonas Laud Mayor Akwada applauded the President of the Asogli Traditional Area and added that his reign continue to be prosperous. In Jonas ' words, " You are doing well Togbe Solomon of our time ''. We warmly celebrate Togbe Afede for his efforts toward the economic development of Ghana.
