Professional wood worker association has revealed that the high price of wood and the regular increment of fuel and other furniture's equipment has caused them to increase the prices of furniture's.
They have made a passionate appeal to government to as a matter of urgency to support them in all aspect because they can us their work to reduced unemployment rate and also curb armed robbery activities which is going on in the country.
According to them they are professional in wood work which has put their self as one people who want to sustain the goals of skills professionals can employed many youth and train them to become professional wood workers so that they don't engaged their self into bad behaviour.
The chairman of kwadaso professional wood workers association Joseph Awuro revealed that may people at diverting the furniture wood works to installation of roofing because they see no help coming up by government.
Mr. Awuro stated that many of the professional wood workers do not has apprentice because the youth know that carpentry is not a good work which can help to meet the standard living of man.
They are therefore appealing to government to support carpentry works especially those who do furniture's and other so that their work will be attractive in other to reduced unemployment rate in the country.
Some of the members of the association also revealed that the price of woods and fume is really collapsing their business.
"Sometimes the wood that we can use in Ghana by the carpentry is been sold to burikina Faso because they buy it in high prices so we the Ghanaian Carpenter find it difficult to buy so they sell it out to the foreigners "
