Festivals are celebrated world wide and they are part of what makes a group of people unique. Currently in Ghana and worldwide, the festival being celebrated is the Eid-ul-fort festival by the Muslims after their 30 days fasting. The 30 days fasting brings them closer to Allah through prayer and contemplating. The reason behind this festival is to end the holy month of Ramadan. Many Muslims kill livestock to mark the celebration. Due to covid 19 protocols,the celebration of the festival is not flamboyant unlike the subsequent years. Most of our Ghanaian celebrities joined in the celebration by wishing Muslims and their fans on their Instagram pages. Here are a few:

A little information about Eid-ul-fitr
The Eid Celebration takes place for one to three days beginning on the first day of Sharwwal on the Islamic Calendar. This occasion is an occasion of special prayers, the exchange of gifts,the sharing of food and family visits. This is in remembrance of Ibrahim’s sacrifice (Ishmael) to the Almighty Allah.
