This high risk operational training took place today at the Police counter terrorism enactment and concentration camp at Huhunya in the Eastern Region.

The personnel were taken through training on improvised explosive devices with demonstrations.

They were also trained on boxing and self defence to equip them with basic knowledge on these areas.

This is part of the new initiatives by the new Inspector General Of Police, Dr. George Akkufo Dampare who recently took over as the substantive IGP after acting for some time.

Since his appointment as the new IGP, he has lead so many operations in the Police Service which has seen some success in the fight against crime in the Country, especially armed robbery.

Today's training by the Police Service is essential because, the issue of terrorism in the African Continent is increasingly becoming a major problem.

At the end of the training, personnel were presented with certificates by the Eastern Regional Police Commander, DCOP Akrofi.
