An investigative journalist and editor in chief for the fourth Estate media, Manasseh Azure Awuni has dropped another bombshell for Ghanaians on the sad incident that happened at Ejura yesterday which saw people criticizing Government.
The famous investigative journalist has alleged that the soldiers who killed innocent unarmed civilians at Ejura were sent by government.
According to Manasseh Azure Awuni, the soldiers were deployed by government after a mob killed an activist for making the government unpopular and details why he stated.
"The soldiers who killed were deployed by the government after a mob killed an activist for "making the government unpopular"" Manasseh Azure Awuni made the controversial statement known on his social media wall today, Wednesday, 30th June, 2021.
In detailing why he made that allegations he explained that "the Regional Security Council is headed by the Regional Minister, who is appointed by the President. The District Security Council is headed by the District Chief Executive, who is appointed by the President. The President is the Commander in Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces. The Head of the Armed Forces and top brass of the military are appointed by the President. So why do we fight hard to insulate the government from these mindless killings, especially when such killings in the past went unpunished? Who should be responsible then?"
Ghanaians are waiting for Ghana Police officers to conduct an investigation into the matter and find out why soldiers could be seen aiming at protesting civilians who are running for their life but still shot them to death. Although a lot Ghanaians has stated that Manasseh Azure Awuni's message did carry much details but the question every "sensible" Ghanaian will be asking is that who instructed the military to come out and shoot innocent Ghanaians? Because we all know military men don't go out anyhow unless they are being informed to do something.
