Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu to Serve On the Executive Board of the WHO

The Ghanaian Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, together with a few dignitaries across the world have been appointed to serve on the Executive Board of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

This very prestigious appointment comes at a time where the world is still battling COVID-19. Ghanaians can only hope this appointment brings good omen to the country. The country has been put into the limelight as well by Mr. Agyeman Manu’s appointment and we hope his relentless work can be extended to help end the catastrophe caused by COVID-19. 

We say congratulations to the health minister and hope for many more of these prestigious appointments - Ayekoo. 


Composition of the Board

Members of the Executive Board and Term of Office

The Executive Board is composed of 34 persons who are technically qualified in the field of health, each designated by a Member State that has been elected to serve by the World Health Assembly. Member States are elected for three-year terms.


The affiliations appear in the style and the language used by the corresponding member of the Board.
