Some residents of Esereso Aputuagya in the Ashanti Region have expressed worry over the deplorable state of Esereso Bridge , describing it as a looming danger.

The Bridge which connects four towns -Atonsu, Esereso, Aputuagya and Lake Bosomtwe was said to be in terrible state since 2016 and now becoming a death trap to road users.

Madam Rose Amoako, a resident in Esereso who spoke to the pressman said the state of the bridge had been an issue of concern since it started waning off and had not seen any renovation in decades.

She said the state of the Bridge was affecting education and farming activities as drivers were unwilling to use the facility. She added that it was inaccessible whenever it rained and that is what is affecting all sectors of the local economy, including healthcare delivery.

She noted that 'the road is under construction but the bridge is the bigger problem , we urge to the district chief Executive, Hon.Joseph Asumming to come to their aid to solve their issue for them other wise they will not allow politicians come there to campaign'.

Over four cars including school buss has drop into the bridge which results serious degree of injuries.

She appealed to the government and stakeholders to help fix the Bridge to prevent the area from been cut off.
