A Multimedia journalist has finally spoken the truth to the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Reacting to the address made by the Vice President on the state of the economy, Kojo Yankson argued that the main reason why Dr. Bawumia unquestionably could not provide solutions that will help reduce the suffering of Ghanaians was that it is simply not the job of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to do so.
"It was not Bawumia's damn job to speak to the nation. And we keep forgetting that. So the person whose job it is is always getting away with murder. Because we think it is Dr. Bawumia's job to manage our economy. It has never been the job. But yet we have created a structure called the Economic Management Team and the average Ghanaian believes that the person responsible is the Economic Management team. They are not", Kojo Yankson explained.
Winston Amoah, on the contrary held the view that prior to the NPPs victory in 2016, the President told Ghanaians that because Bawumia has a lot of ideas about economics, he has put Bawumia in charge of the economy of Ghana. As such, Bawumia is the one who needs to be blamed.
