Maurice Ampaw has sent a strong caution to those who go about insulting leaders in the country. On his show, Mmra Ne Abrabo Mu Nsem, Maurice Ampaw noted that indeed there is so much hardships in the country but this shouldn’t be a reason for insults to be hurled at President Akufo-Addo. He called a cessation to all insults aimed at the president and his team.
He made mention of people like Captain Smart, Johnny Hughes and Kevin Taylor. According to Lawyer Ampaw, this trio have made it a point to oppose the government on everything that they do. he explained that Captain Smart is his younger brother and so should desist from ringing war bells because at the end of the day everyone will suffer.
Maurice Ampaw said a festive season was approaching and this was the time for presenters and men of God to be preaching the peace and love of God instead of inciting Ghanaians against one another. He boldly declared that this Christmas is as dry as harmattan but this shouldn’t cause people who have social media influence to incite young people to rise.
Maurice Ampaw added that no matter how bad the government of John Mahama was, he never insulted the former president. He charged Ghanaians to google and fact check to see if he ever insulted John Mahama. He called on Ghanaians to remain patient and support the president as he builds the country from the ruins that John Mahama left behind
