Abu Jinapor in the northern

The minister of land and Natural Resources, Hon Abu Jinapor has given out bundle of cedis to drummers who welcomed him in the North East region as he paid courtesy call on the chiefs

Today being the day two(2) of his tour of the five Northern Regions, the journey took him to North East Region on, Tuesday, 5th October, 2021, during which he paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of Mamprugu, His Royal Majesty the Nayiri.

He held very important discussions with the North East Regional Security Council (REGSEC), and other key stakeholders.

Matters relating to the emerging mining industry and the preservation of the biodiversity in the region, following the construction of the much needed Pwalugu Dam were at the forefront.

Our strategy is to ensure strong regulation, at the very outset, of this emerging mining sector in the Northern part of our country.

Abu Jinapor in his kind gesture, gave these drummers huge sums of money after he noticed that was the main work they do for a living.

They meet you and play some fine tune for to entertain you, when you're satisfied with their work, you pay them some money to buy food. It is a very prevalent among the Northerners. They often exhibit it during major occasions.
