"Despite COVID, We Attracted Huge Investments Into Ghana" - Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

Ghana recorded $2.7 billion in foreign investments last year. Out of this figure, $2.6 billion was foreign direct investment.

According to the Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah in a press briefing, he said; "despite COVID, we attracted huge investments into Ghana". He explained that, 279 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects with a total estimated investment value of about $2.7 billion was recorded for the Republic of Ghana.

Again, the minister added, that; the FDI components which comes from abroad was about $2.65 billion and about $145 million of the remainder from our local market.

Meanwhile, he intimated that; the FDI value of $2.65 billion is about almost 140% increment over what was recorded last year.

Honourable Oppong Nkrumah, however declared that, such an excellent performance is as a result of government's outstanding effort in managing the country's economy.
