Non-Custodial Sentence Would Have Been Appropriate For Akuapem Poloo- Sammy Gyamfi.

According to the national communications officer of the National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi, the sentence given to Rosemond Brown known in the media space as Akuapem Poloo, who was sentenced by the Accra Circuit court to 90 days in imprisonment for the publication of naked photos of her and her son, was very harsh and high- landed.

He wrote his comments on the sentence of Akuapem Poloo on his Twitter page. He wrote that, “the sentence given to Akuapem Poloo is very harsh and high-handed. Given the fact that she is a first offender, pleaded guilty and showed remorse, non-custodial sentence would have been appropriate. Sad! I pray Nana Akufo Addo remits her sentence or pardons her.”

Do you agree with the comments of the lawyer Sammy Gyamfi that, the president should intervene in the case of Akuapem Poloo or She should be punished to serve as a warning to everyone who is planning to do same?
