The construction company which is in charge of the Wulungu to Kpasekpe 35 kilometer road have been attacked by armed robbers causing their work to halt.
These Armed robbers attacked them on the premises of the city Ghana construction company in Walewale using AK 47 guns last Wednesday, taking away an amount of 300,000 cedis.
Sekinah Danjuma a worker on the premises was interviewed and she explained that the robbers woke her up from her sleep and asked her to give them the money. She struggled with them until one of them hit her with the gun.
Osiam Peter the chief security of the company recounted how he was targeted and marched to the office of the accountant where they demanded money.
One person was badly injured in the attack and has been admitted to the hospital.
DSP Comos Awe is the divisional police commander. He explained to the news team how the attack occurred. The said four armed robbers entered the premises on motorbikes two robbers each on a motorbike carrying AK47 assault rifles.
They escorted the chief security officer of the company into the accounts office where they collected an amount of 300,000 cedis meant for the payment of workers who had already queued for their money.
As a result of this, the work has halted until further notice.
