Opposition elements are weeping buckets over the commissioned Pokuase Interchange by His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The beatific edifice was originally scheduled for three-tier lanes but thanks to the innovative minds at the helm of affairs coupled with a value for money assessment of the project, the same quantum of money has been able to construct this four-tier interchange.
As usual, our friends in the NDC are claiming the project for Mr. Mahama. They say he found the money for the Pokuase Interchange and so if today it is being commissioned, John Mahama must take credit for it.
Is it not hypocritical on the part of these people to assume the ten hospitals President John Agyekum Kufuor found monies for their construction and captured them in their green book and keep on highlighting them as Mahama’s projects but turn around to claim credit for a project not built by them?
Kufuor found the monies for the hospitals they came to build, they claimed them for Mahama. Mahama finds money for Pokuase Interchange, Akufo-Addo did not only build it but changed and expanded it into a four-tier edifice, and they say Mahama owns that project?
They are consistently inconsistent in their arguments. Every project is built with taxpayers’ funds or loans which will be paid by the citizenry in future. You come, build it and credit must go to you. It is that simple!
