The music industry in Ghana has lost a great musician. Ebony Regins was a Ghanaian dancehall and afrobeat musician known for hit songs like Poison and Kyle. Born as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng but known in the showbiz industry as Ebony Regins, the Ghanaian award winning artist was born in Dansoman, a suburb of Accra but hailed from the Brong Ahafo region.
He started school at Seven Great Princess Academy in Dansoman for her basic education. She attended the Methodist Girls High School at Mande through she quit to pursuit her musical career. Ebony was discovered by Bullet, a Ghanaian musician, entrepreneur and also a member of the Ruff n Smooth.
The 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) artiste of the year, Afropop song of the year was killed instantly in a traffic collision on February 8th, 2018 whilst returning from Sunyani to Accra after a visit to her mother Beatrice Oppong Marthin. Nana Heema as she was called by close relatives died along with her personal assistant and longtime friend Franklina Yaa Nkansah Kuri and soldier Atsu.
She died on February 8,2018 eight days before her 21st birthday. Today happens to be 3 years since the "Maame hwe" hit marker left this world. We choose to celebrate her by sharing with you some stunning photos of Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng famed Ebony Regins.
