Today let's look at the top 5 Ghanaian Footballers who have won more trophies in their carrear for both Club and Country.
1. Sammy Ossei Kuffour (15 trophies)
The former Ghanaian and Bayern Munich defender won 15 trophies in his career. He won 14 with Bayern Munich including the historic UEFA Champions League in 2001 and won one with the Ghana U-17 during the FIFA World Cup Championship in 1991. He is arguable the most successful Ghanaian player in Europe.
2. Michael Essien 13 trophies
"The Bull" as popular know won 13 trophies in his playing career. He won four (4) with Olumpique Lyon before joining Chelsea where he won 9 trophies with the West London club including the 2012 UEFA Champions League success against Bayern Munich.
3. Kwado Asamoah (13 trophies)
Kwado Asamoah tallies with Michael Essien 13 trophies. The Asokoa Maradona as he is being called in his community. He won 13 trophies with Juventus. He has represented Juventus in two Uefa Champions league finals with no glory. His 13 trophies are all domestic cups in Italy
4. Sule Ali Muntari (9 trophies)
Sule Ali Muntari lifted his first ever trophy with English club Portsmouth in 2008 when they won the FA CUP. The veteran Ghanaian midfielder won eight tittles with Italian giants Inter Milan including the 2010 Uefa Champions league glory under the administration of José Mourinho.
5. Andre Ayew (6 trophies)
The workaholic I call him. Ayew won 4 major trophies with boyhood club Marseille including the 2 Trophée des Champions in 2010 and 2011 and 2 Coup de la Ligue before leaving the club.
Ayew also lead the Ghana U-20 to African Youth Championship glory in 2009 and the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Egypt 2009.
