Ghana Education Service is the full meaning of GES.
The management of Ghana Education Service (GES) has come out to informed the general public especially headmasters of the various Senior High Schools in the country the punishment that they are going to give to them if found collecting PTA dues.
According to the Director General of Ghana Education Service, his outfit has not said parents should not pay PTA dues but what they are saying is there shouldn't be any fixed amount to be paid to the extent that students who owe will be sacked from the classroom.
Professor Kwasi Opoku-Amankwa also stated that, students are not part of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) so if a student parent has not paid the dues you don't have have to sack the child from the classroom.
The Director-General of GES concluded by saying that, any head of Senior High School (SHS) reported to be guilty of taking such PTA dues from students will be transferred to a far place where service is needed to serve the country.
