Good News reaching the fans and supporters of Akuapem Polo indicates that almost 40,000 signatures has been gathered by the "Free Akuapem Polo" petitioners.
A visit to the website had majority of people signing to beg authorities to free her or get her sentence reduced drastically. Started by the Ghana Creative Arts industry, many people have joined.
After reaching their threshold, they intend to send the signatures to Authorities in charge. Akuapem Polo is a video vixen, comedian, actress and a Ghanaian entertainer.
From the start of her jail sentence, many influential people have added their voices the President get her free. This is because they feel that the jail sentence is too much for a single mother.
Her Lawyer Mr Andrew Vortia has filed an application to appeal in a highest court. The near 40,000 signatures gathered could push the case as it shows how near 40,000 Ghanians are unhappy over the jail sentence.
