Daylight Robbery In Cape Coast - One Man Shot Down

A daylight robbery has occurred at Cape Coast at the front of a shop by the name Messiah Enterprise. A man known as Bambu in the area went to retrieve money from the GCB bank in the town. From the banking Hall, he went into a shop to buy Cement and other building materials.

Four robbers on two motorbikes attacked him and struggled with him to take his money. One of the robbers who was in a mask shot him on his left leg and the man left the money on the floor. Residents around tried to grab the money but the robbers threatened them with the gun. The robbers escaped with the money.

The residents rushed the injured man to the Cape Coast Teaching hospital where he is receiving treatment. However, before that, there was no car available so they had to put him in a tricycle (praygia) to the hospital. According to the residents the man normally carries huge sums of money on him to make purchases.
