The King and Overlord of Dagbon Yaa-Naa Abukari II to ensure end of the perennial water crises in Yendi and its environs is yielding positive results as he supervised the Dredging of the Dakar River in Yendi yesterday, Friday 16th April, 2021 under the engineers of the Eastern corridor constructors.
He therefore called on Philanthropist as well as government organization to assist the King to fulfill this task by stretching forth a helping hand to complete the project.
Mr Nicholas Okyere, the Regional production manager of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) thanked the King for his show of compassion to his people and appealed that the banks of the river should be prevented from farming activities which would lead to subsequent silting of the river after rains.
The king ensured the formation of a committee to see to it that the banks of the river are safe from any activities which could lead the subsequent silting of the river.
