One person who is currently trending in Ghana is no other than Social media sensation Twene Jonas, in the early month of this year Twene Jonas became very popular in Ghana for his constant bashing and criticism on Ghana leaders. Even though most of Ghanaians support what he is doing one thing people don't like about him has got to do with how he insults people and attack their personality. In recent times he has been on the chop board of some traditional leaders in Ghana, in One of his live videos on facebook he Channelled his anger on chiefs who have allowed Chinese citizens to destroy our land and water bodies through illegal mining.
Twene Jonas had stated that, it's unwise for any chief to sell lands to Chinese people to destroy our water bodies and lands which he involved Otumfuor Osei Tutu in the conversation for allowing his sum chiefs engage themselves in this act, this statement didn't go well with some chiefs hence reigned curses on Twene Jonas. Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Honourable Sam George has also added his voice to the issue on going According to this member of parliament there is nothing wrong with what Twene Jonas said or what he's doing, he believes that the young man has seen the struggle in Ghana and has every right to express his displeasure and it's time the government do the right thing.
Sam George also stated that despite the insult, we should ask ourselves if some of these chiefs are not involved in the illegal mining activities going on in the country. He thrown his support to Twene Jonas and stated that, he does not believe in these curses and spirituality but even if it exist, then those gods should rather kill the chiefs who have sold lands to foreigners for them to destroy water bodies where the gods live. As we speak most Ghanaians are standing with Twene Jonas and believe there is nothing wrong with he said.
