The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended Winfred Kofi Zoryiku, the Amasaman Constituency Chairman of the NDC.
This was contained in a letter from the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia to Kofi Zoryiku as monitored by GeneralConcept1.
According to the letter, the suspension comes on the back of reports that the constituency chairman prints, issues and distributes fake party ID cards.
The letter noted that Kofi Zoryika admitted to the offence when he was confronted. This has led to his suspension with evidence to the matter at hand.
“This purported action of yours is in contravention of Article 47 and 48 of the party’s constitution”.
The decision to suspend him which was taken by the Functional Executive Committee, will immediately take effect whiles the matter is referred to the party’s National Disciplinary Committee for further actions.
