Haruna Iddrisu is the minority leader for the national democratic congress. His competence has been recognized over the years thus gaining him this prestigious position as a minority leader. During the demonstration against the election results in December 2020, he was seen in the front leading his colleagues and heavily protesting whiles ignoring security personnels.
The members of parliament for the various constituencies from both the Npp and the Ndc have embarked on a vetting exercise this past few days in hopes to officially vet the minister designates for Nana Addo’s second term. Most of the ministers who were selected to occupy these positions are ministers who served in his first term after he was voted into power.
Today, the popular and controversial member of parliament for Awutu Senya East, Honorable Hawa Koomson was vetted and had the “questions of her life”. Haruna Iddrisu and his collegue mps for the national democratic congress descended on her with serious questions which had some pinning her in a very tight situation.
After a question concerning the fisheries position in which she was supposed to occupy was asked, she gave an answer which was obviously what Haruna Iddrisu and his team did not expect.
Haruna Iddrisu quickly stated that: we don’t need this now, what we need is a laboratory for fish or marine researchers which the country currently lacks. These words and many other have gained massive reaction since the vetting process commenced. comment your thoughts on this below.
