Ghana was moved from 10 administrative regions to 16 administrative regions in 2018 after a proposed list was agreed upon through a referendum under the Akufo-Addo government. Captain Smart sees this to be useless as of now, because he feel this was done in other for us to see development in every region but till now nothing has been going.
This change became possible after several consultations with the chiefs as well. And they were only interested in getting Regional Ministers and not development in their various Regions. Captain Smart says it was and has been useless for Nana Akufo-Addo to add 6 more Regions to that we already had in Ghana to make it 16.
Since those Regions were added the only thing they have had are Regional Ministers and nothing like development. Their roads are still bad, no better health facilities, no job for the people, no water, and still in their poor living conditions. It wasn't needed to add 6 more Regions if you knew you cannot extend development to such places.
