Sad news coming from the Western Region indicates that, five people have died in a fatal lorry accident at Ankyernyin near Axim.
The sad incident occurred after a Kia truck rammed into an Articulator truck on the highway. According to reports, the Articulator truck was parked by the side of the road because it was faulty and was undergoing some repairs.
The Kia truck which unfortunately rammed into the faulty Articulator truck had the registration number WT- 591-20 and was loaded with goods. The Articulator truck was also said to have a foreign number plate with the registration number AF 9761.
The driver of the Kia truck and four others were reported dead after the sad incident. Two other people also sustained severe injuries and were taken to a hospital at Axim.
The police also arrived at the scene to ensure that, the situation was under control. They also took the matter into their hands and have begun further investigation into the situation.
