Update On Covid-19 From The Ministry Of Information

The rate at which cases on covid-19 is Increasing in the country is very dangerous to the health of the citizens, there has been an extreme increase in the number of cases on coronavirus after the 2020 election. The new variant of the virus is spreading even faster than that of the previous ones, the current figures are 6,707 active cases with 472 dead.

The ministry of information of Ghana has been updating Ghanaians on the new measures putten in place by the government to help hault the spread of the disease. The ministry of information led by Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has given us new update on measures imposed at the Kotoka international Airport. The increase in the number of cases on covid-19 is not only within the country but also people visit the country with the virus which contributes to the increased in the figures recorded.

Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah stated in his update on 9th February 2021, that all passengers who Arrives at the Kotoka international Airport will undergo 14 days mandatory quarantine at their on cost with the expection of citizens of country (Ghana). All non Ghanaian passengers will pay for their bills during the 14 days of medical examination on covid-19. Any airline that will convey passengers with a Covid-19 PCR will be fined 35, 000 dollars per passenger.
