Malala Yousafzai Marries at Age 24, See Photos of the Wedding

The youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Girl Child Education Activist, Malala Yousefzhai has gotten married to her partner Asser Malik, an operations manager and fellow Pakistani Compatriot.

The modest Islamic marriage ceremony took place near her home in Birmingham, United Kingdom and witnessed by families of the newly weds. Malala who is also a human right Activist took to twitter to announce her marriage with Asser Malik was a precious day in her life as she called on her numerous followers to send them their prayers.

“Today marks a precious day in my life,” she wrote. “Asser and I tied the knot to be partners in life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.” she wrote on twitter.

Malala Yousafzhai at Age 15 survived a gunshot wounds to her after the Talibans attacked her in 2012 for her stance on Girl Child Education. She to refuge in the United Kingdom and continued to champion human rights and the education of women which eventually saw her become the youngest ever recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. She has recently been vocal and critical about the Biden's administration's decision to withdraw American troops from Afghanistan.
