Two suspected Armed Robbers named Joseph Dagodzo and Mujahid Abubakar is said to be shot by the police at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region. These two is said to have lost their lives at a hospital after sustaining the gunshot wounds.
A statement signed by the acting Director-general of Police Public Affairs Department, ACP. Kwesi Ofori, claims that a third suspect who is 67 years of age and Bukari Salifu by name has been arrested at Zenu. He is said to be the financier and supplier of weapons for the group. The statement therefore made emphasis on a Blow F9-22 pistol, a locally manufactured pistol and two motorbikes which were retrieved by the police.
The Police Service made it clear that, they're going to make use of its patrol teams to combat the rising spate of crime in Accra. The Ghana Police Service as a matter of urgency has introduced urgent additional security measure in the wake of a spike in robbery incident lately especially in Accra.
