When the motorist got to a police check-point at the Bolga-Tamale highway, the police halted him to bring out his driving license.
Unfortunately, the motorist left his driving license at home so he told the police that, he is going for it at the house and decided to give his mobile phone to them as prove that, he will be coming back in order for them not to seize his motorbike.
The police disagreed and both of them started arguing.
One of the officers in the patrol van targeted the motorist and shot his leg in order for him not to escape with the motorbike while arguing.
The motorist was critically injured at his leg and at that moments, he was being rushed to the Upper West Regional hospital in Bolgatanga for medical treatment.
