St. Teresa College of Education is one of the female colleges of education in Ghana located in the volta region lost one of its hardworking lecturers.
The sudden death of Mr. Gideon Kofi Akorli was a heavy blow to the entire community of the college. The deceased who was a tutor in the college was admitted to the hospital after he complained of severe headache.
They underwent a CT scan of the brain and results showed a hyperdense collection of blood density in the brain involving the left front parietal cerebral convexity.
There was also a mild midline shift from the cerebral ventricle to the right side. Doctors said he needed surgery on the brain.
He was admitted for referral and surgery for the removal of the blood clot at Ridge hospital ( Accra). The surgery took place on and he was responding well.
The medical team was with him to remove the surgical threads on the head which was also successful, he later had a discourse with the family on the same day.
However, the same day Mr. Gideon Kofi Akorli sadly passed on leaving his beloved family, colleagues, and students in grief.
With great regret and sadness, we mourn our dearest lecturer, Mr. Gideion Kofi Akorli. Rest in Perfect Peace Sir.
