Ghana Is The Best Place For Growing Crops: A Young Ghanaian Advises

"When I tell my friends Ghana in blessed , they giggle and pass all sorts of comments. I know it’s tough right now and many individuals are really going through it if you don’t have a stable job that brings you a regular income.

I was driving through dansoman one Saturday on my way to Accra and I came across this phenomenon that has truly enforced my stance that, it is possible to make Ghana an agricultural hub for the west Africa.

I don’t know who planted this corn in the gutter or if it found it’s way there but it is growing beautiful and when it starts bearing fruit I will be there to see it.

Our lands are fertile it is about time we start focusing our energies on farming and producing crops that would help us as people.

They say talk is cheap and anything you want to see happen, you have to start it so I am building a mini green house in my house where I’m planning on planting just tomatoes and peppers to feed my immediate family. You could do the same at your end and I will help you if you need assistance in building it.

As Dan Lartey once said , grow what you eat and eat what you grow. Let’s try it together and let’s make good ingredients from something that we can access by ourselves on a regular basis"
