Today news broke wild and fast took over the country as the president of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo directed the inspector general of police, Mr James Oppong Boanuh to step down and COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare.
The question many people who did not have any background information of the directive of the president ask is why is the current IGP should step down. Many questioned whether he has involved in any corruption scandal or done anything that have pissed off Akufo Addo.
But according to the statement released, the inspector general of police, Mr James Oppong Boanuh has not done anything Wrong, he has served well, the president only directed him to embark on terminal leave effective August 1, 2021, pending his retirement from the police service coming October 7th 2021
Inspector Boanuh served well and deserves Ghanaians applaud. We also wish the new appointed IGP, COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare a very congratulations and good luck.
