Two TV stations owned by Rev. Obofour and 49 others to be shut down; NCA

Two television channels owned by popular man of God, Reverend Obofour will before long be closed down along with 47 other channels by the National Communications Authority (NCA) for working without approvals.

Reverend Obofour, also called Prophet Asanteman Bofour, is the founder and head of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) worldwide and CEO of Sweet TV. 

Reverend Obofour acquired popularity in 2018 and is likewise is perhaps one of the richest pastors in Ghana.

Communications minister, Ursula Owusu in a statement issued on her Facebook from the NCA unveiled that they are doing so in light of the fact that those stations were working without approvals as opposed to Section 2(4) of the Electronic Communications ACt 775 of 2008. 

The observing uncovered that a few channels were working without valid Authorizations, as opposed to Section 2(4) of the Electronic Communications Act 775 of 2008, which expresses that, 'Except as provided by this Act or any other law not inconsistent with this Act, a person shall not operate. A broadcasting system or provide a broadcasting service without a frequency Authorization by the Authority'.
