Who could believe that jumping over tall wooden towers could increase the yields in one's farm?
On the Pentecost Island of Vanuatu, this ritual is performed only by men to increase the harvest on their farms.
One could merely say there is no relationship between farming and jumping over such high wooden towers, however, the people of the island have got the belief that such an act has a spiritual blessing on their harvest.
The men of this Island are made to jump over these high wooden towers with just vines wrapped around their ankles.
They believe that any man whose dive is good can his physical health improved and also increase their harvest in the yam harvest season.
These cultures and traditions do not seem to make sense in our parts of the world, but they are highly esteemed on the other side there is no doubt about that.
