The real C K Akonnor is back. The coach sacks Thomas Partey after he failed to train with the team.
Blackstars Coach C K Akonmor has reportedly sacked Arsenal's ace Thomas Partey from the team after the player failed to show up for training.
From the player, he had a little issue to deal with and so that prevented him from training with the rest of the team. He however didn't seek permission of a sort from the coach and prior to their very last training session before they travel for the Morocco friendly, Partey has been asked by the coach to leave the team.
C K Akonnor was known as principled man and that was shown during his days at Kotoko and most of the local teams he has been at. Somehow along the line, Ghanaians questioned his ability to stand his ground at his current job when it comes to national team call ups.
This big decision and stand of his will perhaps bring some sort of belief and trust in the former Blackstars player.
I am particularly impressed by the coach's stand.
