A fourteen-day ultimatum (two weeks) has been given to Acting Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to effect the arrest of popular media personality, Mr. Blessed Godsbrain Smart popularly known as Captain Smart. Leader of Fixing The Country Movement, Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah called for such an action to be taken by the acting IGP.
Mr. Bempah claims that the court has issued a bench warrant for Captain Smart for stealing a car which belongs to Dr. Kwaku Oteng, chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Angel Group of Companies. He added that the IGP has delayed in arresting the media personality even though there is a bench warrant for him.
The leader of the group, Mr. Bempah stressed that they would not allow Captain Smart to disrespect the court. He added that they (Fixing The Country Movement) as citizen police would effect the arrest of Captain Smart themselves and hand him over to the IGP if the IGP fails to do what has been demanded within the given timeframe.
