Following Brighton & Hove Albion's victory over Stoke City and advancement in the English FA Cup, Tariq Lamptey expressed his joy on social media.
The Seagulls overcame Stoke City at the Bet365 Stadium thanks to a goal from Evan Ferguson in the first half, advancing them to the next round.
"Job done, into the next round! Thank you for the support as always!" Lamptey tweeted.
The 22-year-old played on the left side of defense for the English Premier League team for the full 90 minutes.
The Black Stars will benefit greatly from Lamptey's constant playing time under manager Roberto de Zerbi as they prepare for the AFCON qualifiers against Angola.
In the doubleheader, the former Chelsea defender is anticipated to play because Alidu Seidu is injured.
In June of last year, Lamptey changed his nationality to play for Ghana and was a member of the Black Stars at the World Cup in Qatar.
