Another robbery case in Sawla town just this evening around 6:00pm. A mobile money vendor in Sawla adjacent Sawla D/A primary school on the Sawla to Damongo road.
At around 6pm in the evening today, Monday the 19th of April, 2021, the agent in charge of the vendor a female, with name withheld was packing her stuffs as she had closed for the day, and unfortunately on her part an armed robber entered the shop from nowhere and demanded for the cash she had on her which she did not hesitate and gave out all the cash on her. The guy left with an undisclosed sum of money and no traces of him have been identified yet after reporting to the police and other security agencies in the town.
This is another sad news in the town of Sawla as robbery cases are becoming rampant for the past six months. Residents are worried about this trending theft cases in the township as many are contemplating about leaving the town for good in search for greener pastures elsewhere safe.
But all hope is not lost as they are calling on the security services in the district and the country as a whole to intervene on their behalf and fight to eliminate criminality in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District.
