Why Teachers In Ghana Should Be Recognized And Respected Just Like In America.

Teachers have a very significant, lifelong impact on all of their students. This impact involves not only the teaching of particular academic skills but as importantly, the fostering of student self-esteem.

Reinforcing self-esteem in the classroom is associated with increased motivation and learning.

The teaching profession is exciting and challenging. Teachers act as role models, mentors, caregivers, and advisers. They can have a profound effect on the lives of their students.

Primarily, teachers will impart knowledge to their students to help them learn new things about a specific group of subjects.

Although they play many other important roles in the classroom, teachers set the classroom tone, mentor and nurture student minds while being their role model, even listening to their problems and look for any signs of trouble in their learning as well as personal lives.

If teachers mislead students by impacting them with wrong information, they mislead the whole nation.

Teachers determine the educational experience of each child. They play a pivotal role in building the character of the students. Such experiences should lead to positive learning. Thus, the teacher plays a critical role to shape and reinforce the proper learning outcomes.

Teachers take the place of parents' school, they guide and mold the character and personality of the student. They influence the formative years of the students. A good teacher coaxes and helps a student to understand his abilities and become a better human being.
