It was exciting to see Eden Hazard join Real Madrid from Chelsea back in 2019 as he was tipped to replace the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo.”
After moving for a hefty price Hazard’s nightmare of injuries began and has affected him since his arrival, limiting him and his talent to the side-lines.
Currently the 30 year old Belgian player has been ruled out of Madrid’s UEFA Champions League second leg against Atalanta.
Hazard has suffered 11 different injuries since his arrival at Los Blancos. This has caused a concern and a worry to the coaching staff as head coach Zinadine Zidane confirmed his confusion at the injury crisis.
"It's something new. I can't really give any more of an explanation," he said, according to BBC.
"Something's up, because he was never injured in his entire career (before joining Real) or there were very few injuries. We want to help him and hope he is back as soon as possible. They are things that I cannot explain. I want to be positive and hope that it is not too much of a problem.
"We're going to try and figure out why it's happening, but right now we can't explain it."
With just 36 appearances for Madrid, it is indeed concerning with the rate at which the injuries are happening to Hazard. Hopefully, the medical staff can help the player avoid more injuries in future.
