Crimes and immoralities has been come too rampant in our community's and in the country Ghana at large. In fact it's very worrying and alarming. The unbelievable and sad part of it is that; a Church as a Religious Christian Organization (Society) which sort to teach it members the right thing, sadly that has not always being the case as a pastor had been jailed 24 years for a crime. I always say "Nothing is so ugly like a saint commiting a crime."
News reaching 5G-News has it that, a 41-year-old pastor of the African Faith Tabernacle Church at Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, has been jailed 24 years with hard labour for defiling his 14-year-old daughter.
During the judgement on Thursday, September 9, 2021, the pastor, Paul Nkansah, pleaded guilty to the two charges of defilement and incest.
The court presided over by Patricia Amponsah found him guilty on all the two charges. He was then sentenced to 22 years in prison for defilement and 24 years in prison for incest. The two sentences will run concurrently.
Moreover, during the hearing, the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Regina Oparebea, disclosed that Paul Nkansah was previously jailed for 20 years on a different charge of defilement at Akim Oda, but the sentence was reduced five years after an appeal.
Besides the main story, can you imagine a whole pastor. Ah what has he been teaching his members? In this case his own daughter. Suppose this pastor "die" in prison what will he tell his ancestors or God? Well this will serve as deterrent to other and when he himself is back from prison he might have learned his lesson. Turned a new leaf.
Thank you for reading!! Lucky Friday.
