Yesterday, February 3, 2021 marked an interesting day in the Supreme Court as the Lawyers of Mahama stormed the Court in high spirits to defend their claims of rigging in the election. Mahama who led the NDC in the 2020 general election has rejected the final verdict and declared his intention to get the results reversed. The Petitioner argues that no one won the elections and praying to the Court to instruct the Electoral Commission to conduct a rerun between himself and Nana Akuffo-Addo.

Tsatsu Tsikata brought a motion be granted by the Court to inspect some documents in the custody of the EC. In this application, the Court would compel Madam Jean Mensa to produce some documents including specified collation forms, results summary sheets and an original copy of the form, containing the declared presidential results.

The National Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic and Spokesperson for Mahama's legal team, Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi has made a bold declaration concerning the petition before the Supreme Court. Sammy Gyamfi who has been an active voice has cautioned the NPP spokesperson who are making prejudice of their case before the Court.

Sammy Gyamfi in a phone interview on Asempa FM's Ekosiisen show hosted by Osei Bonsu has expresed optimism in the cross-examination between Lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata and Madam Jean Mensa. According to him, Ghanaians should expect the best of cross-examination on Friday.

"...And when people listen to Tsatsu Tsikata's cross-examination they will know with what clarity worth our case. Stop talking until it is finished. In the circumstances we find ourselves in no one can claim that their collared figures are correct. Nobody can say that. It is whether you use the polling stations or constituency summary sheets."
