A young nurse has been killed busy armed robbers in the Upper East region of Ghana.
The nurse by name, Mr. Ismael Pumi Bashiru is only 31 years old. He is believed to be serving at Bawku Presbyterian Hospital in the Upper East region.

According to sources, the innocent nurse was said to be driving back from Bolgatanga where he spent the weekend.
A1 radio news reported that by the time the young man got closer to Zebilla, the armed robbers had mounted a road block. He sensed danger and attempted to reverse. Unfortunately for him the robbers noticed his intention and shot from long range through the windscreen several times. He sustained gunshot wounds compelling him to stop. The armed robbers took away his mobile phones and undisclosed amount of money.
After the robbery he was left with injuries and was rushed to the Zebilla Government hospital after the robbery operations where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The body of the deceased had been deposited at the mogue. According to the police commands at Zibilla, the police had commenced investigation into the unfortunate incident.
Nurses are gradually becoming targets for armed robbers and criminals. It will be recalled that a nurse by name Ruth Eshun was killed by unidentified criminals in Kumasi recently. The perpetrators of the heinous crime are yet to be arrested for prosecution.
